    Hello,

I’m trying make the image bigger on the automatically generated media attachment page in twenty seventeen. (I know I can link thumbnails straight to image media files, but I think it would be nicer for the user to see a full-sized picture with a description underneath, hence the need for a page.)

I’m assuming that I have to edit/create either image.php file or attachment.php. Does anyone know if I’m thinking along the right lines here? I’m right at the edge of what I know how to do and am more than a bit stuck.

    Thanks, Leone

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Install the plugin “show current template” and it will tell you what PHP is used to render a page. Then, make a child theme, copy that file into your child, and edit it to work as you prefer.

Thanks Steve – I had no idea such a useful plugin existed!
