# Trying to downgrade wordpress

 * I know there are other posts about this, because i’ve read them and no one seems
   to have the problems I have.
    So basically I’m using this process: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lX3E-qIpJM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lX3E-qIpJM)
 * but upon deleting wp-admin and wp-includes I just get 500+ error messages saying
   I don’t have permission, I can’t seem to change the permissions in bulk so even
   when i do it for a directory, I get 499+ error messages saying i can’t delete
   them.
 * I tried re-naming the folders, and importing the new ones but i just get a ton
   of error messages.
 * My theme is non-functional, or at least non-formattable in 4.0 and I already 
   paid for it.
 * I could really use some help.
