Hello, I am logging into the back end of my WordPress site. I granted someone (Maria Renielda) from Mailerlite temporary access because she had to help me with something. When I go to the user’s (left-hand side menu), and I try to delete her it tells me I don’t have permission to access that page. It’s my WordPress site, so I’m not sure why it is telling me that. Can you assist me, please?

    Hi

your user account capabilities may have been restricted by another user with a higher level. In the ‘Users’ page under the ‘Role’ column what is assigned to your user?

The default WordPress user hierarchy from highest tomVTN4&3xrEx*vTkuAX8n(!o& lowest, is the following respectively: Administrator, Editor, Author, Contributor, and Subscriber. There may be other custom roles. Please confirm that there are no users with higher privileges.

Hello, I created the WordPress account. I am an administrator and so is the person from Mailerlite who assisted me. Does that help?

That helps. WordPress by default allows you to edit users, so there may be a plugin or theme code preventing you from doing so. The following should solve your issue:

Backup your site. Disable all plugins and switch to a default theme (other than your active one) like Twenty Seventeen Theme, delete the user then re-enable plugins and switch back to your original theme.
