trying to create ANCHORS to text on the same page

Hi there –

I’m trying to create a few anchors that, when clicked, will take the reader to a paragraph lower on the page.

When I test it, it opens up a NEW page, and never takes me down to the actual paragraph.

Here’s the code for the link at the top:
<strong><a href="#ouch" target="_self">OUCH! How I Went from Chump to Champ</a></strong>

And here is the heading I’m trying to anchor to:
<h3 id="ouch">OUCH! How I Went from Chump to Champ</h3>

I’d love some feedback on this, please. Thanks in advance!
