Support » Fixing WordPress » Trying to change links in the header and/or the Home button

  • I have been reading all of the posts and poking around and changing item in the header php with no luck. Also I have been in the settings of the blog and it has the links for wordpress address and blog address. If I change these and try to save them it fails. Says that The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server. This makes no sense unless the settings page is messed up using the theme I selected. I am using the NaturalEssence theme. Nothing lets me change the links. They all point to the homepage of the blog and cannot get them to point to the original website containing the blog. Is the only alternative to put the link where it makes the least sense? I am so close to having this where I need it but cant put in the finishing touches.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • ASLO now that I have trie dto save the link changes, the site is destroyed. It seems to have lost all connections to any links and the css for the pages. Nothing works in the wordpress folders, The logout the login nothing. All I did was change one of the links in the settings to take wordpress off of it so that one would link to the home page of site. The save failed, so why would it destroy the whole workdpress installation. This is very annoying and I am now questioning if WordPress is the way to proceed. This makes no sense unless the theme killed it but there seems to be no way to get back to square one. Can anyone help or do I have to reinstall for the third time.?
