trying to build custom archive page

    I am trying to build a custom archive page that shows my archives in the following format. How can I achieve this?

    ARCHIVES:

    current month title:
    [list of all posts for current month]

    last month title:
    [list of all posts for last month]

    month before that title:
    [list of all posts in that month]

    and on and on for the last 6 months or so. Any idea how to achieve this?
