Trying to add read more button to post previews on hompage

    Hello,

    I’m no web developer but I’m trying to learn and I understand basics.
    I’d like to add Excerpt and Read More buttons to my blog post previews on my homepage. currently is just shows the featured image, category and title.
    I purchased the blog theme, it’s Kindred which is a child theme for Genesis.
