Hi @techstacy,
Thanks for reaching out. I’ve gone ahead and created a patch for the [video_link] attribute, which you can download here:
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ihr55m6lpo756it8joi1o/google-v31.zip?rlkey=qjey443vyhpkphaixg69j2b4a&dl=0
To install the patch, please follow these steps:
- Download the zip file from the link above.
- On your server, navigate to the
wp-content/plugins/wp-product-feed-manager/includes/application folder.
- Make a backup of the existing
google folder in that location.
- Replace the existing
google folder with the content from the downloaded zip file.
Once you’ve done that, the [video_link] attribute should be available for your merchant feed.
However, I noticed something unusual. While the link you provided mentions this attribute as part of the “Product data specification,” I couldn’t find it on Google’s official Product Data Specifications page (https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7052112). The “Product data spec” header there isn’t clickable, so I can’t independently verify the attribute’s official status or see if other attributes might be missing.
Please try the patch and let me know if it works as expected. If everything runs smoothly, I’ll make sure we integrate this into our development branch.
I did add the patch to the plugin and video_link came up right away as an attribute option.
I’m working with plugin Really Simple Featured Video and have yet to find a rsvf_ source that populates video_link with a url, I’ll reach out to support for that plugin to see what they recommend.

Thanks again for your assistance with this! (●’◡’●)
Hi @techstacy,
Great to hear that the patch worked!
Regarding your plan to use the Really Simple Featured Video plugin for the video_link attribute—are you familiar with the “Third Party Attributes” setting on our plugin’s Settings page? This feature allows you to map data from unsupported plugins into the feed.
If you haven’t explored this option yet, you can find a guide on how to set it up here:
https://www.wpmarketingrobot.com/help-item/using-product-feed-manager/how-to-use-data-from-unsupported-plugins-in-the-feed/
Have a great day!
Michel,
Thanks for your help with third party attributes.
I was able to locate the meta_key that holds the file path to the product’s attached video “_wp_attached_file”
phpmyadmin – https://ibb.co/sxVJ69w
I configured third party attributes as: %wpmr%,%cpf%,%unit%,%bto%,%yoast%,%attached%
I’ve configured the video_link entry in the feed generator as – https://ibb.co/HDDJJ6nz
For whatever reason it’s still not populating “_wp_attached_file”
Feed Link
Do you see anything I might have missed?
Hi @techstacy,
I checked your feed, and I can see that there are 70 video_link attributes present, so it seems the feed is working fine now.
If you’re not seeing the video_link attributes on your end, please try resetting your browser cache. It’s possible you’re viewing an older (cached) version of the feed. On Windows, press CTRL + F5 to refresh the cache. On Mac, press Option + ⌘ Command + E to empty the cache and ⌘ Command + R to refresh the page.
Let me know if that helps!
Best regards,
Michel
