Trying to access admin backend, redirect loop due to Pretty Links

    Whenever I try to access example.com/wp-admin/ or the like, I get a redirect loop that tries to take me to /wp-admin/admin.php?page=pretty-link-update

    This just happened recently and the client mentioned there was no new link rule created.

    I know it is pretty links because of the URL and because it stops redirecting when I disable pretty links by renaming the folder in the plugins folder.

    What could be causing this?
