trying new theme; old settings saved?

    Hi all. Sorry if this is a newbie question but, well, I am.

    I just bought hosting and a domain name to move my wordpress.com blog over to self-hosted at http://www.mamawit.com.

    I downloaded Ashford theme and have played around with it some but am not completely happy. However, it is workable.

    I would like to try out a different theme — Life Collage (child theme from Hybrid; http://themehybrid.com/demo/life-collage/) — but don’t want to lose everything I’ve done on my blog with the Ashford theme.

    If I do install a new theme, set it as my current theme, and play around with it, but I decide I don’t like it and want to go back to Ashford, will I have to start all over with that theme?

    Well, I went ahead and tried, and it does seem to save the most theme-specific settings if you activate a new theme and then go back to a different theme.
