Try to edit comments and get "Comments not allowed" error

    Hello,

    When i try to edit a comment that has already been posted, I can access the comment through the dashboard, edit it, but then when i try to update it i get a “Comments not allowed” message. This happens with both ‘edit’ and ‘quick edit’ options.

    Can anyone tell me if I’m missing something here?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
