    Recently I got this message on my dashboard:
    Try the all-new Welcome Wizard for the Shield Security plugin!
    And it says, Launch Setup Wizard.

    What the heck is this? Nothing in WordPress support about this. Nothing in Google about this. And it wants me to “launch” something without any reason for its being. Is this legit? Where’s the information about this?

    What “the heck” is it? What it is, is in the title. It’s a welcome wizard for the Shield Security plugin.

    You won’t find anything in wordpress support about it, as it’s got nothing to do with WordPress support – it’s part of the Shield plugin. If you don’t want to run it, then click the link to dismiss the notice or remove the Shield Security plugin.

    If I don’t want to run it? Run what? What is “it”? Oh, it’s a “welcome wizard”. What am I welcoming? I’m not just running something to find out what “it” is without details as to what I’m about to open my website to. Details.
