I somehow had the strange idea, that at least in the trunk version, Ofer Wald was trying to make improvements, and so I downloaded, sanitized the trunk version (895) as prescribed, and tried it out, in my blog, by installing the resulting plug-in.

What I found was two main, immediate defects:

    1) In the widget, there is still a check-box, which states “Edit Translations”. However, checking this box does not cause the view to appear as before, in which the phrases have colored icons, and in which selecting an icon allows the translation to be humanly edited. Therefore, now translations cannot be edited.

    2) The new style with selecting and preferencing languages and translation engines seems to be, that we must drag the icon in order to drag the field. However, translation engine icons are not displayed in the Preferred Engines fields. And therefore, the Preferred Engines cannot be changed.

Please fix, the Trunk Version, in which you wanted to fix something. Right now, I do not see any improvements over the Release Version.

    My apologies.

I needed to fix the fact, that in order to package the Trunk version plugin correctly, I needed to have two utilities installed on my computer:

    /root/googlecompiler/compiler.jar

    and

    /root/yui/yuicompressor-2.4.8/build/yuicompressor-2.4.8.jar

Now that I have installed these, the Trunk version plugin is no longer missing sundry files, and seems to work brilliantly!

    Thank you! Resolved.

    Dirk
