Is there a way to truncate the last item in the chain? For example:

Resources > Biology > Sedentary But Not Dispersing Wolves…

Instead of:

Resources > Biology > Sedentary But Not Dispersing Wolves Canis Lupus Recolonizing Western Poland (2001–2016) Conform to the Predictions of a Habitat Suitability Model

Or, is there a way to remove the current one alltogether? Like:

Resources > Biology

I was able to do it with CSS except for the > so it looked like Resources > Biology >

To truncate the length of the breadcrumbs, use CSS as discussed in this article: https://mtekk.us/archives/guides/trimming-breadcrumb-title-lengths-with-css/ You can modify that to only apply to the current item.

To remove the current item alltogether, you can use the following micro plugin: https://github.com/mtekk/Breadcrumb-NavXT-Extensions/blob/master/breadcrumb_navxt_remove_curitm.php

span.current-item {
    display: inline-block;
    padding: 0;
    margin-top: -2px;
    margin-left: -4px;
    vertical-align: middle;
    max-width: 260px;
    white-space: nowrap;
    overflow: hidden;
    text-overflow: ellipsis;
}   
```

I was surprised to see that there were no IDs or Classes used in the code generated for the breadcrumbs.
