    Hi Frankie,

Thank you for the plugin. Its functionality is straightforward and does the job well – something that I was looking for.

    Question :
-does the plugin actually register “archived” using register_post_status and then render it through WP-admin UI? If yes, do you have any pointers for me to use it to add more post status? I’ve tried Edit Flow but found it stuffed with too many features that I won’t use. Otherwise, if I put use register_post_status to register “archived” in functions.php, does that make “archived” a true-blue WP registered post status?

    Thanks, pageii!

Unfortunately the functionality you are describing should be coming from core, but the API for adding statuses isn’t very mature or easy to navigate. That’s why I made this plugin.

You are welcomed to re-use the code from my plugin for your own custom status purposes, but my plugin is merely a specific use-case for custom status (archives) and does not provide any developer API for creating your own statuses.

I hope WP core will change this in the future.
