• I’m trying to activate WordPress’ post by email feature (since yesterday), and have done the following:

    – Created a standalone mailbox for this email with my ISP (unique name and password)
    – Added the mailbox name, password and port number to WordPress in Settings/Writing/Post by Email
    – set up an email address to put email in that mailbox
    – waited 12+ hours for DNS propagation

I’ve sent a couple of emails to the address, but nothing is coming through as posts in WordPress. I’m left wondering:

    – Is there any way to troubleshoot this function? Does it generate a log I can check?
    – How frequently does the “post by email” service check the mailbox?
    – Is there a way to adjust that frequency?
