trouble with my single.php pages

hey all,

i’ve edited my single.php pages to go ahead an show my sidebar with that page. problem is, the normal sidebar grey color background (i’m using the default kubrick theme) is white. it’s grey like it should be on all of my other pages, but just not the single post pages.

i’m sure it’s something easy that’s been overlooked, but i need some help with this.
