    Hello,

We are having trouble with a Facebook event.

The event is trigered by the click of the “add to cart” button on woocommerce.

We had previously set this event directly on Facebook event mamnager, and it was working.

Unfortunately it has stoped working. So we installed the Facebook for Woocommerce plugin, the event still doesn’t work but we see this eror message :

” We detected event code but the pixel has not activated for this event, so no information was sent to Facebook. This could be due to an error in the code, but could also occur if the pixel fires on a dynamic event such as a button click. ”

You can view the screenshot here : https://www.screencast.com/t/mPqq49RiWzkn.

Now, indeed, the pixel fires on a dynamic wich is a button click.

Can you help us fixing this ?

    Thanks in advanced.

Hi @bertrand66. Do you have an Ad blocker installed in your browser? This type of error is commonly caused by such extensions.

Some caching plugins also have some optimization settings that cause a conflict with the pixel tracking code that will result in the event not being triggered. Make sure that you disable grouping of JS in any caching plugins that you have active on your site.

    Hi @drwpcom,

    Thanks for your help.

I use WP rocket, I have enabled the facebook Pixel Add on : https://www.screencast.com/t/0SuDKIyt0zOs.

When you mention “grouping” of JS, do you mean combining ? because this is how my WP Rocket settings are : https://www.screencast.com/t/14hSLbXL.

Hi @bertrand66. Yes, I suggest disabling this option to combine JS files. For a more thorough test, can you try disabling WP Rocket to see if the issue persists? If it doesn’t, this confirms that you need to tweak your settings in WP Rocket. In that case, I would try disabling the Facebook Pixel add-on as well.
