Support » Plugin: Ultimate Member – User Profile, User Registration, Login & Membership Plugin » Trouble with “Access > Exclude the following URLs”

  • I’m building a member only site. The login and register page are available to non-members. I also have two other pages that I want to grant non-members access to. I thought I could grant access to the two pages by adding their URL in the ACCESS > Exclude the following URLs field. I’ve tried using only the page name, and I’ve tried using the domain.org/pagename but each time when navigating to those pages the URL changes to a redirect like http://dev.domain.org/?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fdev.domain.org%2Fjoin-us%2F rather than navigating to the page: join-us

I’ve tried it on two sites using WordPress 5.02, Ultimate Member 2.0.35, and two themes: 1)Twenty Nineteen and 2)understrap.

I believe I found the answer. The page is accessible as desired when I use the full URL in the Exclude field: http://dev.domain.org/join-us

Actually, I was already logged in and didn’t know it. Changing the Exclude field didn’t fix the problem. When I logged out, I got the redirect URL instead of the page. What am I missing?

    Hi @msmcmullen,

Do you have a caching plugin or server side cachin active on your site?
It looks like a caching issue, can you please try to exclude these pages from the cache and see if this issue goes away.

Please also do a quick conflict test and see if some other plugins or your theme causing this issue. Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

    Regards.
