# Trouble using auto upgrade?

 * For those who are interested or new like me, I had searched for over an hour 
   for an answer on how to use the auto upgrade function in v2.8.1 and what info
   to put where.
    While I had the ‘hostname’ section correct I was using the ftp
   login for ‘username’ and the ftp password for ‘password’ (I use FireFTP). I found
   that what I should have done was: hostname: [http://www.xxxxxxxx.com.au](http://www.xxxxxxxx.com.au)
   username: the cpanel username from your host password: the cpanel password from
   your host
 * Once I did that the install went perfectly in about 1 minute.

 * That just happens to work because most ‘cPanel’ hosts make your cPanel login 
   and your prime FTP account to be the same name and password.
