trouble syncing pot file to source

    Hello,

    Will the sync function in the edit template section scan all the php files for that domain strings?

    I’ve added some new strings to some woocommerce child-theme templates, e.g.
    <?php _e( “test translation string”, ‘woocommerce’ ); ?>
    but trying to sync the pot file it can’t find this string. Should I somehow point loco translate to the php source?

    By default Loco Translate will only scan the woocommerce plugin for the woocommerce plugin’s translations. This is by design.

    You CAN point Loco Translate to additional files, but I strongly recommend you don’t.

    You should localise your child theme, and NOT add strings into the woocommerce text domain.

    If your child theme is correctly localised, Loco Translate will allow you to translate your theme and all the custom text you’ve added to it.

    Thank you very much for your quick reply.
    I’ve had some difficulties understanding how to start with all this, thanks for the guiding.
    I will localise my child theme and use a translate a specific domain for my child theme.
