I wanted to put Tag Pak (a product I have listed) from WooCommerce and show it as the Front Page. So I looked in google and learned to: 1). Create a page and make it front page. 2). Pasted a short code in the box on the page. [product_page id=”65”] ). Insert the product Code# (65) into the short code and it would pull.

However the product that is pulling is a different product number with a different code# (pulling lanyard no matter which code# I’m entering).

Ever experienced this and know the solve?

No, not fixed. Sorry I missed this note from you. If you want to email me at info@upwriteinstruments.com, that can work too.

    Hi there,

You could create a page for your Home page, then add a product shortcode to that page. If you want to display a specific product, you can add the product ID to the shortcode. You can find more information on how to create your shortcode in the documentation.

Thank you for thinking of this with me. However, I have used the short code in my original post and it is just the product number that isn’t pulling correctly. I have done the other steps you’ve mentioned.

    Hi there,

Have you tried creating a new page and adding the shortcode again? Make sure the product ID matches the browser to ensure you’re adding the correct product ID. You might also try activating a default theme like Twenty Seventeen and test.

I plug in 2 different product Id’s (64 and 65 – one I test, then the other ), and both pull up only the product on 64….

    Any other thoughts?
Are you able to take a look (if you’re an expert at this)?

    Hi @upwriteinstruments

Could you try updating WooCommerce and also try switching back to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce to see if this resolves the issue?

Now I clicked on the apps and pressed update and now I can’t rvrn get to my website…. ugh

    Hi @upwriteinstruments

I am sure if you contact your site host they will be able to remove what’s causing this issue. After they do that, since this is a live site, you may also want to contact your host to duplicate the site to a staging environment for testing.

Another option could be to create a staging server using something like WP Staging: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/

With that setup, you test and make changes without altering your live site.
