• Hi,

When I went to upload my MT file into WordPress 2.2, I got the following error:

Unable to create directory /home/MYUSERNAME/public_html/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/05. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

I should mention I still have MT running (version 3.121) on the server and am first trying to test WordPress to make sure it works OK before deleting movable type.

Any help would be most appreciated!

  • CHMOD wp-content to 777 until you do the import.
Then put it back to 755.

thanks samboll! that did work. =)

unfortunately, now i have a different problem. seems that most if not all of the entries are truncated. there is either only the beginning paragraph or so displayed, or none of the entry is displayed at all.

what would be the best way to fix this?
