Support » Plugin: Relevanssi - A Better Search » Trouble filtering products by geolocation WCFM

    Hi,

So I have Relevanssi installed with WCFM and have the product geolocation feature turned on.

The problem I encountered was that after activating the Relevanssi plugin, product search filtering by geolocation did not work. Search results show all products instead of only filtering nearby products.

Is there a way to enable WCFM geolocation function with the Relevanssi plugin turned on?

Thank you and waiting for your help.

What is WCFM, and how does the geolocation work in it? What does it do to filter out the posts? That filtering information would probably need to be passed on to Relevanssi.

    Hi Mikko Saari,

    Sorry for the late reply.

All product searches on my website will be filtered by user’s location (geolocation feature from WCFM Multi Vendor Plugin https://docs.wclovers.com/geolocation/), which will ensure that the nearby products are shown on the search result page.

But after activating the Relevanssi plugin, product search filtering by geolocation did not work. Search results show all products instead of only filtering nearby products.

Kindly refer to the screenshot link: https://prnt.sc/19z8efm

Let me know if you need any other information.

Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you and waiting for your update.

Unfortunately the documentation does not have a word on how the geolocation actually works. I’m not surprised it doesn’t work with Relevanssi, but without further information, I can’t really say if it can be modified to work with Relevanssi or not, and how that would happen.

If you can get the plugin developers tell you how the geolocation is added to the search, I might be able to help you out here.
