Trouble embedding youtube video for responsive theme

Hi,

I am trying to embed a youtube video on my custom front page via the respnsive theme. I have tried the embed code youtube gives, and also wrapping the video with [embed]… [/embed] but both don’t work. The video was once up and working fine, but I deleted it to see what the page looked like without it and I am now having trouble re-embedding it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Side note- does the featured content have to be to the right of the text or can it be moved? Also anyone have an idea of how to set up autoplay for videos?

Am you can tell, I’m very new to wordpress!
