 * Hi.
 * I have tried adding banner ads in HTML code in a sidebar text widget, but keep
   getting the following error after i try to save the changes to the sidebar.
 * _========================
    Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this
   server could not understand. ========================
 * I know this can work, because I have managed to do it before. I’ve tried changing
   the theme, but still no luck.
 * Any ideas on what could be causing this error, or where I can start looking,
   would be greatly appreciated.

 * the code i want to insert would be something like this:
 * ====================
    a href=”[http://za.offerforge.com/z/14307/ZA4819/”><img](http://za.offerforge.com/z/14307/ZA4819/”><img)
   src=”[http://za.offerforge.com/42/4819/14307/&#8221](http://za.offerforge.com/42/4819/14307/&#8221);
   alt=”Uzzi” border=”0″></a =================== (with the < & > brackets at the
   start and end)
 * I am able to insert this code into any post, but not in a sidebar text widget.
   It’s just plain html with an image as the link
 * Any ideas?

 * I think the problem is that you’re using a “sidebar text widget” that may not
   render HTML. It may read in your code as pure text which makes sense that you
   can add the code into a post which does render HTML code but not in this text
   widget which must not. Why not just hard code it directly into the sidebar? Or
   use an ad manager widget?

 * I think it’s a good idea to code it into the sidebar.
 * Thanks for your help.

 * Yeah I’m facing the same issue.
    I even tried the HTML Javascript Adder widget,
   but that doesn’t work too! I had used this plugin before to save HTML! I also
   tried different browsers: IE, Moz & Chrome are all dumb to that request! I too
   will settle with coding into the sidebar, but at the cost of violating WP design
   principles!
 * Regards,
    Prasad
