Trojan virus…deleting content fixed slow speed, should I delete theme as well?

    For those of you who have not seen my posts, my word press site was being bogged down probably by a trojan redirect virus. Well I deleted almost everything and the site seems a LOTTTT faster after I loaded some test photos. The theme is still intact, should I delete it as well?
