Triple clicking causes 500 Internal Server Error

    Hi,

    This seems weird but why do triple clicking a menu or almost any button in my website causes a 500 Internal Server Error?

    I’m really new to wordpress so, I don’t know where to start
    I’ve already tried searching for answers but mine seems pretty weird.
    Also, the site loads very slow in general.
    When you go to the website, it takes a few loops of the loading circle before it displays something.

    I’ve tried resetting the .htaccess but the problem persists.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    try a few basic troubleshooting steps:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.
    – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try resetting the plugins foldervia FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Hi Tara, thanks for the response.

    Can you please elaborate on the flushing cache part? I’m discombobulated on what it is or how I can do it.

    There’s a plugin called wordfence and it has an option to clear the cache, and a basic caching option which I enabled but nothings seems changed.

    Also, if I changed the theme to twenty-fourteen, will it have any differences or effect when I put it back on the original theme?
    I’m scared that I’ll mess up this already messed-up website :p

    I’ve tried the others but sadly, it didn’t work out.
    Apologies for a lot of questions and sorry for my english
    Any help would be appreciated!
