trims the excerpt

that´s really a cool plugin output the important event attributes with a shortcode. thank you very much!

One question: How can limit post excerpt length using number of words not number of characters?

i try to change the function but it don´t work

		}

		$excerpt = trim(preg_replace( '/\s+/', ' ', $excerpt));
		$excerpt .= ' ';

		return $excerpt;
	}
