    Hi Tobias,

    I couldn’t find any reference to this in the support forum, so here is the question.

    If you look at the table created with TablePress in the following link,
    http://www.gurufundpicks.com/13f-3q2-art

    Is there a way to force every row to be a single line, no matter how long the entry?

    I am using the shortcode,
    [table id=14 column_widths=”150px|10px” /]
    however, the first row is only about 90px wide. And I also want that if the text would take longer than 90px, that it would concatenate/trim it,
    e.g.,
    Applied Micro Circuits Corp
    would become
    Applice Micro Circ…

    Is there a way to do that in TablePress with CSS, applying that to all or select tables?

    Thanks,

    Ganaxi

    Hi,

    to achieve that, you can use some CSS like this:

    .tablepress-id-123 {
      table-layout: fixed;
    }
    .tablepress-id-123 td {
      white-space: nowrap;
      text-overflow: ellipsis;
      overflow: hidden;
    }

    This would apply it to table 123, so just change that as necessary, or remove the “-id-123” part if you want this for ALL tables.
    Note, that there might be some webbrowsers that do not yet support this functionaliy.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

    That worked great.

    P.S.: In case you haven’t, please don’t forget to rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!

    Done. Surprising, but I had donated, but not reviewed the plugin. So thanks for the reminder.
