After Updating to, the New Version, the Plugin could not be activated due to the reasons below:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare mailchimp_environment_variables() (previously declared in /home2/shopchim/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/mailchimp-woocommerce.php:39) in /home2/shopchim/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-mc-woocommerce-5a06075/mailchimp-woocommerce.php on line 48

    KINDLY FIX THIS!

  • Hey @chimli,

Thanks for your post. I’d definitely like to help investigate this error message and what’s causing the holdup in getting MailChimp For WooCommerce activated on your site.

First off, I’d like to gather some environmental details so we have an understanding of the context this error is occurring within. If possible, could you send us screenshots of the WooCommerce System Status page in your WordPress environment? This can be found by going to the WordPress Admin Panel > WooCommerce (in the left sidebar) > System Status. Here’s a guide on where to find that: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/understanding-the-woocommerce-system-status-report/

If you’re unable to share screenshots here, would you be able to provide the following specific details?
    — What is the version of PHP running on the site?
    — What is the version of MySQL running on the site?
    — What is the version of WooCommerce running on the site?
    — What is the version of WordPress running on the site?
    — What is the version of the “MailChimp For WooCommerce” plugin being installed?
    — What theme is being used? Does changing to a different theme allow you to activate the plugin?
    — What other plugins are active on the site? Does deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce and MailChimp For WooCommerce resolve the issue?

Thanks in advance for this. I’ll keep a lookout for your reply.
