This is something I too would super appreciate. I am unable to find another plugin that offers this functionality and since I want tooltips on small icons …. would be so nice not to have to hand edit it.

This website here status.co.uk (see blue icons on product pages} has just the sort of functionality I desire. The script used is Smallipop (see here projects.sebastianhelzle.net/jquery.smallipop/ ) but it is not a WP plugin.

as promised; “Trigger on image ‘Alt’ text rather than keyword feature” is done with success in v2.1.5 😉

Many thanks.
However there appears to be a problem.
In settings I’ve selected the option ‘Activate tooltips for images‘ and entered a new keyword for the ‘Alt’ text on one image.
What happens is that tooltips appear not only for the image which has the keyword in the ‘Alt’ text but also for every other image.
I had expected only tooltip for the image with an ‘Alt’ matching the keyword to appear.

Hi Jamel,
Another problem is that the text I’ve entered for the tooltip is not appearing, only the ‘Alt’ text. In the ‘Keywords related’ panel for the page in question, it states “No KeyWords found for this post” yet the ‘Alt’ text matched exactly the keyword set up.
Can I be doing something wrong ?

Hi Jamel,
Reading our correspondence above – carefully – it seems that I poorly described what I was looking for.
I need to trigger the tooltip on keywords that appear in the image ‘Alt’ text.
The effect would be for example, the popup to activate on mouse hover over a small information icon if the icon’s ‘alt’ text matched a KTG keyword.
Hence my reference above to the Smallipop jquery plugin

yes as I said in the E-Mail that you have mentioned two different concepts :
1st feature – triggering a tooltip with the ‘atl’ content inside on image hover
2nd feature – triggering a tooltip with a keyword description inside of the keyword in the ‘alt’ property (maybe with the Smallipop jQuery plugin)
otherwise I have misunderstood you 🙁
Anyway, the first one is done then I will work on the second as an update to the KTTG plugin or as an addon
