Tried everything to get Google verified

    I have tried putting in the code following snippets, lost the site once and got it back. I tried using FTP. I put the code into WordPress seo about 2 weeks ago. I got the Header Footer plugin and put the code in the Header about 4 days ago.
    I figure something is wrong as the code is visible on the head and footer of the site, but Google can’t find it to verify. As you can tell I am a newbie. 60-thenew40.com

    I would so appreciate some help

    I would stick with the WordPress SEO solution, not the header footer plugin (deactivate this: what you’ve done is simply display text).
