Support » Plugin: Google Authenticator - WordPress Two Factor Authentication (2FA) » Tricked me into creating a miniOrange account

  • When I activated it, there was a popup asking for my password so I entered my password from my WP site. Turns out it created a miniOrange account WITH MY WP PASSWORD. The popup never mentioned anything about creating a new account at miniOrange, it just asked my password, doh! There’s no option to delete my account on miniOrange so I had to change passwords on both sites. NOT COOL!!!

    Hi @a2zhostingptyltd,

miniOrange Two Factor plugin uses highly secure miniOrange APIs to communicate with the plugin. To keep this communication secure, we ask you to register and assign you API keys specific to your account.

We have mentioned about registration in our description. And based on your feedback we are also making changes in the plugin itself.
The password field shown in the Pop Up was to create miniOrange account and not WordPress account. And keeping the security in mind these passwords are encrypted and no one can access it(not even miniOrange). We can also delete your miniOrange account.

You can contact us for more details on info@miniorange.com.

    Thank You.

So a person has to personally contact you via email to delete an account? No thanks
