[Resolved] Tribeca Theme how do I change the change transparent to white

  • Im using the theme Tribeca. When I change the background I noticed that the background goes behind the main pages and basically makes it impossible to read the text and it just doesnt look good at all. How do I change the transparent section of the page (container) to white?

    Im not even sure that the container is what I need to change but from what I’ve read it is.

    I have very little experience with wordpress but I’m learning… its fantastic!

    Please help.

  • I think you have resolved the issue.

    Unfortunetly I havent solved the problem. For now I’ve kept the background white. I want to fill in the sides of the browser page with some related graphics, but when I view the page on a smaller monitor the graphics go behind the transparent section of the page and show thru.

    Can you give screenshot of error as i am not able to understand.

    Take a look at the site now… Its the the image I want to use but it will show you what I mean. I just added a quick photo as the background and it shows thru the sections I wish to have white.

    Thanks

    Please follow the following steps:
    1. Open footer.php > Write <div class=”clear”></div> just before wrapper div close
    2. Then Open your style.css and write the following code:

    #wrapper {
      width: 940px;
      padding:0 20px;
      margin: 0 auto;
      background:#ffffff;
    }

    You can also check this with background image in your body.

    The above solution will resolve your issue so please try and close this.

    Here is the Footer.php code… where do I place the code you provided? I wasnt able to get it to work.

    <?php
    /**
     * @package WordPress
     * @subpackage Tribeca_Theme
     */
    ?>
      </div>
      <div id="footer">
         <?php if (class_exists('ajaxNewsletter')): ?>
    			<?php ajaxNewsletter::newsletterForm() ?>
    	  <?php endif ?>
          <?php wp_nav_menu(array('menu' => 'Footer Links', 'theme_location' => 'footer_links', 'depth' => 1));            ?>
      </div>
      <div id="legality">
        <div class="left">
        	<strong>
        	<?php if ( get_option('themeteam_tribeca_contact_name') ) {
            	echo get_option('themeteam_tribeca_contact_name');
            }?>
        	</strong>
        	<?php if ( get_option('themeteam_tribeca_contact_info') ){
        		echo get_option('themeteam_tribeca_contact_info');
        	}?>
        	<?php if ( get_option('themeteam_tribeca_contact_url') ){ ?>

        		<a>"><?php echo get_option('themeteam_tribeca_contact_url');?></a>
        	<?php } ?>
        </div>
        <div class="right"><strong>
        	<?php if ( get_option('themeteam_tribeca_copyright') ) {?>
          		© <?php echo get_option('themeteam_tribeca_copyright'); ?>
            <?php }?>
        </strong></div>
      </div>
    </div>
    <?php echo get_option('themeteam_tribeca_google_analytics'); ?>
    <?php wp_footer(); ?>
    </body>
    </html>

    I have included ‘<div class=”clear”></div>’ in your code, please use the following code in your footer.php:

    <?php
    /**
    * @package WordPress
    * @subpackage Tribeca_Theme
    */
    ?>
    </div>
      <div id="footer">
        <?php if (class_exists('ajaxNewsletter')): ?>
        <?php ajaxNewsletter::newsletterForm() ?>
        <?php endif ?>
        <?php wp_nav_menu(array('menu' => 'Footer Links', 'theme_location' => 'footer_links', 'depth' => 1)); ?>
      </div>

      <div id="legality">
        <div class="left">

        <?php if ( get_option('themeteam_tribeca_contact_name') ) {
        echo get_option('themeteam_tribeca_contact_name');
        }?>

        <?php if ( get_option('themeteam_tribeca_contact_info') ){
        echo get_option('themeteam_tribeca_contact_info');
        }?>
        <?php if ( get_option('themeteam_tribeca_contact_url') ){ ?>

        "><?php echo get_option('themeteam_tribeca_contact_url');?>
        <?php } ?>
        </div>
        <div class="right">
        <?php if ( get_option('themeteam_tribeca_copyright') ) {?>
        © <?php echo get_option('themeteam_tribeca_copyright'); ?>
        <?php }?>
        </div>
      </div>
      <div class="clear"></div> <!--  Added by Chandan -->
    </div>
      <?php echo get_option('themeteam_tribeca_google_analytics'); ?>
      <?php wp_footer(); ?>
    </body>
    </html>

    After these changes, Add the following css code in your style.css:

    #wrapper {
      width: 940px;
      padding:0 20px;
      margin: 0 auto;
      background:#ffffff;
    }

    Thanks you for all your help so far. I’ve inserted the codes exactly how you suggested and the background unfortunetly is still transparent. Same as I originally showed you when I placed an inage as the background.

    Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
