As the title say, today’s WordPress security update broke Travelers’ Map.
Markers are not loading anymore on the map.
I made an “emergency” update, v2.0.5. It is live, so please update 🙂
For people having a modified plugin that cannot be updated, here is the fix you can replicate in your files:
Have a nice day,

I have updated but maps behave in an erratic way, unfortunately. Maybe this is not related to this WordPress update, but the problem appeared in the last few days.
In most browsers and for most users they do not open at all and show “…Leaflet JS files are missing”. Or open very slowly.
In some cases maps open, but, if one clicks on the map, it “sticks” to the cursor and becomes unmanageable.
Open and try to zoom in the map with Edge or Safari: https://www.wondermondo.com/map/
Or, a map with fewer markers: https://www.wondermondo.com/blowholes-in-hawaii/
In spite of this – thanks for plugin, hope these problems can be solved!
Please open a new ticket for this issue as it is not related 🙂
I’ve looked into your website, and something is off with the loading of scripts and assets, they are being defered and are loading very late after the page is loaded.
Travelers’ Map have some checks to work even if scripts are loaded afterward, but some plugins might break with this behaviour and you might see some bugs.
I think you might have an “optimization” plugin, you should try to deactivate it first and see if everyhting comes to normal 😉
The zoom/drag bug might be due to that OR another plugin is interfering with the leaflet map, or your theme. Because I can’t reproduce your issue anywhere in my websites.
Let me know in another support ticket 🙂 Have a nice day,
I found that by changing themes it started working again. I suspect the plugin doesn’t work when a Full Site Editing theme like Twenty-Two is being used. Perhaps because FSE adds the new beta site editor and removes the customizer?
Thank you @twodozen for your bug report.
Indeed I tested today with FSE theme, and it’s not working.
This will be fixed in the next update 🙂
(It was a very strange bug, if you are interested : I had to move my script registering and enqueuing from the plugin initialization function to the shortcode function :
