Travel Type

    It would be nice if one can specify the travel type in a route from one point to another. For example, I plotted out a route that includes L’ile Rousse in Corsica, France as point A, and Figari Beach in Corsica, France as point B. Travel from point A to point B will be by sea, but the route is shown as if the travel from point A to point B will be by land.

    Just to be clear – by “travel type”, I mean mode of transportation.

    Yes, that would be nice. I had kind of the same idea… When I will have time, I’m gonna implement it. 🙂

    Yeah I would also love that feature. Maybe it’s possible to select 3 different. Also kind of interested to develope that for my blog.

    Air, which will be a curve on the map.
    Land, uses directions of the Google Directions API
    Sea, is kind of hard to properly display without hitting the land somehow by the polyline.
