 * So we got this site customized and it went live. However we had to build initially
   on the IP rather than domain name. On switch over we went and converted all the
   hard linked images in the db to the domain name instead of the IP.
    Which went
   fine until we got to the theme background. The entire theme reverted! All colors
   lost, all changes lost.
 * I managed to restore it but this makes no sense and now I’m afraid to touch it.
   Even trying to adjust it in the customizer seems to revert it back to its pre-
   customized default state.
 * All I’m trying to do is fix the background image address! What’s going on with
   this?

 * Hi Starhorsepax2,
 * You mean to say is after using background image feature from customizer your
   setting is all removed.We don’t think there is any problems on our theme. We
   had checked our theme placing background image and no any error comes up.
    You
   might have done some mistake while migrating your site. And also you can check
   by switching permalink issue.
 * Let us know if we are understanding fully or perhaps this is not what you meant
   for. We will be more than glad to assist you.
 * Thanks

 * We didn’t migrate the site. All we did was get the domain name switched over.
   Then we went into settings and changed the ip to the domain name. Then did a
   find and replace in database to switch from the ip address as url to the domain
   name as url. This works for anything in posts such as images, using that ip as
   absolute url. However anything in options (setting image background in theme
   options etc) tends to revert to the default theme option rather than the chosen
   image with the correctly updated absolute path.
