I have shared a link : the url that I shared is working as it is in English.
but if you see this one : https://magazine.keycaribe.com/nl/leden/stephanie/
Which is the exact same url but dutch (with friendly translated permalinks).
It is in an infinite redirect loop.

I checked with redirect loop checker and it is redirecting to the exact same url.
I think it is working without friendly permalink url’s.
But i really would like to use the freindly permalinks for SEO purposes. Especially since all posts and pages are already translated with it and work perfectly fine and i do not want to cause tons of 404 errors in search console for switching from friendly urls to non friendly urls.

So i really appreciate if there is a fix for this, I assume there must be one since there are millions of buddypress users. Hope someone can help out! thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

This is never really easy, because figuring out what caused the redirect isn’t too simple. In the past we have had a relatively good support for buddypress, but in some point in time the buddypress enthusiasm faded a bit, and there were simply too many versions and obstacles in providing better support. I do remember adding translation support to the feeds and the ajax calls only to have to change this for the next .01 buddypress version.

Now, in order to help you and not just whine, You will have to turn the transposh logging to the highest level, make sure that you can see the log file, induce the redirect loop and send an excerpt from the logs, I will have to see if there is something we can work with from there.

    Good luck

Hi, thank you for the quick response, I have turned on debug and set log to critical.
The only problem is I can’t find the file in folders where the log file is stored.
can you tell me which folder it stores the log files? thank you

When you enable debug, you need to set the log file location. /tmp/ is normally a good place.
