Transparency in entry area

Hey guys! Has anyone been able to make the main area (i don’t know whether its entry or content) transparent? I’ve done it on other tags. My plan is to make the logo a fixed background image and the text a gif with transparency to scroll over it, but the everything below the header stays white.
