• Hello.

Been using Polylang for two years with Nova Theme from Elegant Themes, everything smooth, great plugin.

But I’ve just updated WordPress to v4.0.1 and Polylang to v1.6.1 and I’ve noticed a new issue. In the Nova dashboard I specify the pages that make the slides of my home page. These pages have the usual body and some specific fields related to the slider, grouped into “ET settings”. These fields are called: “Custom title”, “Description text” and “Button text”.

The problem is these fields now seem to be unique for the two languages in my page, English and Spanish, because whenever I change them for any given language, the fields of the linked translated page are overwritten and changed as well. Strange enough, the bodies of the pages keep the respective translated versions, as they should.

As mentioned, everything worked well in the past.

Any clue of the change in polylang that may be causing this? My previous polylang version was rather old, I must admit: v1.3, I think. It still had the old way of linking translated pages using the Page_Id, not the autocompleted search field.

As a temporal workaround, I’ve unlinked the pages included in the slider, so when you click in the flag to change languages while in them you are returned to the home page, not to the translated version as before:

    Thank you for your work.
