Hi,

I’m using Woocommerce 2.6.2 and WP 4.5.3 and I’m having problems with the translation files since the 2.6 update. I know you started handling the localization files differently since 2.5 but I have my website in Portuguese (pt-PT) and Woocommerce is not assuming that language. Everything is shown in English

I have my own custom translation files that I wanted to work with but not even those are being recognized by Woocommerce. Can you help me on a way to solve this?

This is an urgent issue because clients are already complaining, so I would appreciate your fast reply.

Everything is covered in https://docs.woothemes.com/document/woocommerce-localization/, including using custom translations instead of the translate.wordpress.com translations.

Would be better to get https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/woocommerce to 95% so all users get it though 🙂

Hi,

Thanks for the answer. I read it all before posting but still was not solving my issue.

However, after a few hours trying to understand what was going on I manage to figure it out. In case other people encounter the same problem:

In Portuguese (Portugal) the string changed from
woocommerce-pt_PT.mo to woocoomerce-pt.mo so my files where not recognized.
