• Hi,

A few months ago, you helped me to create a filter hook to support translation with WPML (you said it was a temporary fix).
Box widgets, Icon Box and Accordion widgets.

Does the plugin support translation of text with WPML now.
I tried pasting the code I got into functions.php but no success. I see no difference WPML. Can you please help me what to do.

    Hello @yonwel,

We apologize for the delay in our response. We have tested it on our end using the widget from Elementor, and WPML is unable to translate it as well. Can you please confirm this? If the built-in widget from Elementor is also not working, we suggest contacting Elementor and WPML for further assistance regarding this issue.

We will await your further updates.

    Thank You

Thank you for your reply. It has worked before when I pasted the code that I received from you in “functions.php”, but when I updated the page, everything disappeared as code. Now I just want to know how and where to paste the code that I got from you a long time ago. Thanks.

    Hello @yonwel,

We apologize for the delay in responding. Just to clarify, you added the code to your functions.php file, but after refreshing the page, the code disappeared? If that’s the case, we suggest adding the code directly to your server using FTP. You can find instructions on how to do this in the article we’ve provided for you below.

    https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-use-ftp-to-upload-files-to-wordpress-for-beginners/

Additionally, we recommend using a Child Theme because when you make modifications to the parent theme and the theme gets updated, your changes will be lost (files are replaced). To learn more about Child Themes, you can read the article below.

    https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/

    We’ll await your further response.

    Thank You

    Hello @yonwel,

We apologize for the delay in our response. Can you provide us with a list of plugins you are using? To make the code work properly, you need an additional addon from WPML called WPML String Translation. Make sure to activate this plugin before translating the strings from Elementor.

After that, you can make changes to your page using Elementor to trigger a refresh. Then, there should be an “update translation” button on your page. Please click on that button to translate the strings.

Once you have translated them, you can check your page again on the frontend. Please note that you should have added the code we sent earlier to your functions.php file.

Before following the steps above, we recommend that you back up your data to restore it in case of any errors.

    Thank You
