    https://wordpress.org/themes/evolve

    Good Morning,
    i’ve found some words that are not translated in italian (older/newer entries, ) so i used poedit to translate them an then I’ve uploaded the correct files via FTP.
    I’ve changed “stai cercando un centenuto che non è qui” with “Spiacenti, contenuto non trovato” and it works, but any modification of
    <span class=\”nav-meta\”>«</span> Older Entries
    and
    Newer Entries <span class=\”nav-meta\”>»</span>
    produces no effect.

    I’ve also added the string
    define( ‘WPLANG’, ‘it_IT’ );
    even if wordpress is already setted in italian, but it makes no difference

    How to solve it avoiding that an upgrade of the theme will delete my corrections?

    My WordPress is 4.1.1 with the lastest version of the theme.

    Thanks in advance

    PS: you’re theme is great, i suggest to add also a function to do scrolling of the post in the main page with auto loading instead of “older entries”, thus avoiding having to change the code that would be lost during the updates.

    Nobody can help?

    Hi, try download the italian wordpress and upload everyting to your server, less the wp-config-sample.php, wp-config.php and the wp-content folder. This is solve your problem.

    Italian wordpress URL: https://it.wordpress.org/

    I hope that helps!

    Hi, thanks for reply, still having the problem.

    I think that the translation file is targeting to a wrong string,
    hope that someone can help to identify the correct string to edit to get a working solution.

    Ok, from the +6. wordpress version, wplang tag it’s no necessary anymore.
    Go to wordpress admin panel and:

    1. Go to settings > General
    2. In the last option in this sreen, choose the italian lenguage (in the “site language”).

    I hope that helps!

    Hi,
    it’s already set. I continue to think that the translation file refers to a wrong string…
    I wonder if it is possible to know the correct string to solve this bug

    Thx

    Hi, the new version of wordpress don’t need a string, onli upload the language files and set in admin, like the following:

    1. upload the language files: http://prntscr.com/6bvl13

    2. Set the language: http://prntscr.com/6bvi7m

    If the problem persists, please, send us
    – your ftp user and pass;
    – your wordpress user and pass.

    Thanks!

    Probably I expressed myself badly.
    the language is set correctly as you explained;
    i’ve made some translation edit wit “Poedit”, and they are working, the only two translation that are not working are “older entries” and “newer entries”…

    <span class=\"nav-meta\">«</span> Older Entries
    Newer Entries <span class=\"nav-meta\">»</span>

    I think there is to investigate in this two lines in the theme’s translation file, which are the only ones which don’t take effect when edited.

    Hi, your problem is caused because the translation / language pack don’t translate this part of the blog.
    To translate that, you’ll must change a template file:

    1. Download the navigation.php file in your wordpress theme;
    2. Change the lines 23 and 24 where is written Newer Entries and Older Entries;

    This is it!!

    I hope that helps!
