    Very nice plugin ! πŸ™‚

    Some Suggestions from me …

    1) How about an option to translate the terms e.g. Overview, Cast, Crew …

    2) An Option to insert his own tmdb api and “set a language code” to get the data in a selected language e.g. german, french …

Thank you very much for your feedback apollo2k9.

    1) The mmdb plugin is ‘translation ready’. In other words, all the mmdb plugin language labels visible in the front and backend should be translatable via language files (PO / MO files).

There are many 3rd party plugins in wordpress that help you translate, one example would be to use the Loco Translate plugin to accomplish this.

The translation ready labels available can be seen in wp-content/plugins/my-movie-database/languages/my-movie-db.pot

    2)
a-) Option to insert his insert his own tmdb api: Yes I agree. This was the plan but I never finished it. This will be in the next update.

b-) Option to β€œset a language code” for TMDb data: Right now, the mmdb plugin ‘sees’ the language selected by the user in the frontend and requests the data in the same language from TMDb.

Is this not working for you? Would you want to have an option to ‘force’ data coming from TMDb to be in a different language than the selected one?

    Hi djleven !

    Thanks for your answers …

    My bad …

You have totally right … πŸ™‚

I’ve missed the language folder and the wordpress was in english and not in my native language (german), when i switch the language is all good πŸ™‚

    Sorry to bother you πŸ˜‰

No problem, I’m glad it’s working!

If you translate the file and like to share I would be happy to add the German language.

For now, if you want to use your own API key you can change it in
    ../plugins/my-movie-database/includes/tmdb_api/controller/classes/config/Configuration.php

    on line 39:
    $cnf[‘apikey’] =’your_api_key’;

    About the dates:

Would there be an “easy” way to show the german/Europe date format instead of the US date format ?

Output of the dates in d.m.Y and not in Y-m-d

Maybe the plugin can used similar like the language also the date format from the wordpress settings …

Yes I see your point. Getting the date format from the main wordpress settings is a very good idea, it seems like the ‘right’ way to go.

Can you please open this as a separate support topic?

I will look into adding this as soon as I can, thanks.
