Yesterday, I started translating Theme My Login 6.4 to German using the GlotPress installation provided at translate.thememylogin.com.
After translating some hundred strings I exported the .po and the .mo file and tried them on my WordPress installation. But nothing changed.
After further examination I found out that both files exported form GlobPress were empty. The .mo file only contains header information but no translation. In the .po file all msgstr entries are empty.

What am I missing? How can I export and test the translation I’ve made?

I probably need to approve the strings.

    Thanks, now it works.

Is it possible to download a unapproved version of the translation? Maybe just for registered users? I can understand if you want to approve the translation first, but it makes things difficult when it comes to testing.
Currently, I need to translate the strings and wait for you to approve them. After your approval I can test the translation for the first time. If there are any errors I need to change the translation and wait for your approval again. That’s an awful slow and frustrating process.
If you enable the download of the unapproved version I could translate and test in one session without any waiting time.

Not that I know of, that’s just the way that GlotPress works. I don’t even speak another language, so I can’t really “verify” anything. It’s actually a hinderance for me.

With that said, I will be shutting down the translation service at http://translate.thememylogin.com because WordPress is now hosting all plugin translations at http://translate.wordpress.org.
