Translation problem of annual archive with wpml

    Hello,

    I am using Wpml to run a bilingual site FR (default) / EN.
    I installed the Annual archive plugin which works fine, except for the translation.
    The anual-archive-fr.mo and po files are well in the folder.
    Unfortunately, it seems that on my side, Annual Archive is not translated at all, neither front-end nor back-end.
    e.g. on this page : http://www.fredericlecloux.com/2014/, it should not be “yearly archives” but “archives annuelles”.
    Would it be possible that Annual Archive be not compatible with WPML?
    Or am I missing something?

    Hello again,
    The front-end problem is solved, which was the most important. A mistake on my side. Sorry for disturbing.
    But in the dashboard, the plugin still wouldn’t be translated, and I wonder where it comes from.

    have you tried using https://translate.wordpress.org/ ?

    Hi Baden,

    No, I haven’t, but I’ll leave it like that, because I spent quite a lot of time figuring out how to use wpml to suit best my purpose, and I don’t want to change my translation tool. So it’s ok, I’ll deal with the english version of your plugin.

    well that’s not a very ‘open source community’ position you are taking.
    using WPML is perfect for setting up multiple translations of your website. But if you are going to spend the effort to translate the strings of a plugin into your language, you might as well do it in a way that a) makes it available for everyone and b) makes it easy for the plugin author to add strings as the plugin is further developed.

    But if you are happy with your solution, we’ll mark this issue as resolved.
