• Hello,
I’ve updated wordpress and woocommerce to the last version, and now translations are not working well from english to french. I’ve tried to use Loco Translate (even if translation is 100%) as said by Mike Jolley but I still have sentences not translated on front office.

Any idea on what to do next ?

    Thank you very much

  • Its possible that the english text is coming from a theme page template or a plugin. When you use Loco Translate, check your theme and other plugins for the english text. If you alter any translations remember to store the changed ones in the custom location, or they will be overwritten by updates.

If you have trouble find which piece of software is generating the text, deactivate all other plugins and switch to the default theme, then reactivate one-by-one to try to identify the relevant software element.

If there are only a few strings to change, a less work option is to use the Say What? plugin:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/say-what/
You will still need to know which theme or plugin is generating the text, and get the “text domain” from the relevant file.
