Translation of Select Month and Montly Archives

    I have been able to translate the months into Finnish in Posts Archive by translating them in locale.php.

    However the “Select Month” and “Monthly Archives” are not in that file and I’d like to translate those two sentences as well.
    Where can I find them and translate?

    No! Do not edit any core WordPress files! Re-upload all files & folders – except the root wp-config.php & .htaccess files and the the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Then see WordPress_in_Your_Language.

    Well I did save the original locale.php, so I can upload that.
    I understand that editing the core files is a no-no, but I couldn’t find any info on how to do it otherwise. I found the WordPress in your language, but it didnt’ help too much.

    And I know whenever I update the page, the translations will disappear from locale.php

    Did you read the introduction on the page I linked to above? Is your current theme translation-ready?

    I don’t know if my theme is translation-ready – I created it by Artisteer,,
