translation missing on 10.1.0
-
Hello,
My wordpress installation is set to french, but after upgrading from 10.0.4 to 10.1.0 my checkout page using blocks is in english instead of french. When I roll back to 10.0.4 it’s in french. What is the problem ?

Hi there,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I tried to replicate the issue, but I was unable to do so. To assist you further, could you please check if there is a translation update available on your site?
You can do this by going to WordPress.com Dashboard → Updates. Scroll down to the Translations section and see if any updates are available. If there are, please update the translations and check if that resolves the issue. Note: I’m able to fix that isuse on my site by updating the available translations
If that does not help, or if you are unable to see any translation updates, please share the System Status Report. You can find it by going to WooCommerce → Status.
Please use https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and share a link to that paste in reply here. Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further. There is no translation available, here is my status report, thanks for your help. https://pastebin.com/aQfjzBsr

Hi there!
Thank you for sharing the System Status Report. Currently, everything appears to be fine.To assist you further, could you please:
- Update WooCommerce to the latest version.
- Clear your site cache and browser cache.
- Check the checkout page again, or try viewing it in an incognito/private browser window.
If you don’t want to affect your live site, I recommend creating a staging site. You can test updating WooCommerce, clearing caches, and checking the checkout page there without impacting your live site. This way, we can safely troubleshoot the issue and try to replicate it.
you can use the following plugin to create a staging site.

Thank youI updated to latest version, clear all caches, tried in incognito mode and it’s still in english. I appreciate your kind help
Hi there,
I’ve checked the issue on your site and noticed that some field texts are appearing in English while others are in French. I suspect there may be a conflict between your theme or another plugin and the latest version of WooCommerce.
For testing purposes, please try deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce, then activate the default Storefront theme to see if the issue persists.
If that doesn’t help, please share a screenshot of the Translation Updates section by going to Dashboard → Updates.
I would suggest keeping WooCommerce downgraded to version 10.0.4 on your live site and performing the conflict test on a staging site instead, so your live site remains unaffected while we investigate further.
I tried disabling all plugins except woocommerce and change my theme to twenty twenty five and same issue. I have another website with same plugins and theme and everything is perfect with 10.1.0
I have no pending translations updates in my dashboard
I duplicated the website on a staging environement still same issue
Problem solved by deleting all translations files on wp-content/languages/plugins/woocommerce-* and after install new translation update. Thanks for your help
Hi there,
That’s great news! I’m glad to hear the issue was resolved by removing the old translation files from
wp-content/languages/plugins/woocommerce-*and installing the latest translation update. It seems the translation files were not updated properly, which caused the issue. Removing them allowed WordPress to download fresh, up-to-date versions.
If you have a moment, we’d be incredibly grateful if you could share your positive experience with others by leaving a 5-star review on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/reviews/#new-post
